A simple idea.
real local impact.

"helping businesses safely and securely dispose of old laptops, while equipping local schools and charities with the tech they desperately need."

It's a critical time for local charities...

Local charities are at the heart of our communities. But they've never been under more pressure.

Economic hardship has caused charitable contributions to plummet by nearly 20% in the past year, hitting smaller, grassroots organisations the hardest.

At the same time, cuts to government funding and public services have left a growing gap in support. A gap that local charities are being asked to fill, often with fewer resources than ever before.

The impact is real and close to home. Larger national charities are scaling back. Smaller local ones face the very real risk of closure. This is happening just as more people in our communities are turning to them for help with food, warmth, digital access, and connection.

These are the organisations we exist to support.

Every laptop makes a real difference to local schools.

Whether it's pupils without devices at home, a classroom that needs extra machines, or an after-school club just getting started - a refurbished laptop can quietly change a child's day.

Our Finances And How We’re Run

We are a registered 100% non-profit Community Interest Company (CIC)

We are regulated to ensure every penny benefits the community.

Our accounts (including director's pay) are published on Companies House, so anyone can see where the money goes.
  • No Director Salaries: Our directors work unpaid. This is written into our constitution, going beyond standard legal requirements.

  • All Surplus Donated: Every penny of profit must be given to charities and worthwhile causes.

  • No Shareholders: We have no investors demanding a return.

  • No Dividends: No one can take profit from the company.

  • Asset Lock: If we ever close, our assets must be transferred to another non-profit.

A Few Words From Us

“I hate seeing perfectly good computers going to waste when schools and charities nearby can’t afford enough of them.

I’ve spent years around businesses that refresh laptops on a schedule, and I kept thinking: there has to be a better way than paying to scrap them or leaving them taking up space in cupboards and storerooms.

I’ve also seen how much harder life is if you don’t have enough working laptops – for school classes or even for basic charity admin. There’s a simple, fixable gap between what companies throw away and what schools and charities desperately need.

Through this project, our small team is trying to close that gap in a practical, local way. We’ve set this up to make it as easy as possible for companies to do the right thing – with a free, efficient collection service and secure data wiping that’s compliant with GDPR and WEEE rules before anything is reused or recycled.

Because this is a brand‑new local initiative, your support now matters more than ever. You’re helping us build something that will keep helping local schools and charities long into the future.”
